The mating season in winter is a very interesting time if you observe wolves. Some seem to change their behaviour completely. I've never seen something like this before from Akela for example. She went on her own to one of the polar pups (I guess it's Akai), layed beside him and followed him, when he went away Normally, they did it vice versa. It also seems the atmosphere is much more relaxed in the pack. Maybe it was just the impression I got that day, so I like to check it again.
